Celebrating birthdays and gearing up for Easter

We celebrated with Ms Hazel this week. She turned 89 on Monday and is such a blessing to so many people. She amazes me with her strength at her age. We love spending Saturdays with her.

We are also ready for Easter! Ellie took a picture with the Easter Bunny but did inform him not to get too close to her... Sassy! We did whisper that she wanted jelly beans and a Hello Kitty watch.

We (I mean - ME) chopped Ellie's hair off on Friday. Jay was less than thrilled that I decided to do this. I LOVE it and think its perfect for Spring.

Catching up on life

Travel, work, play, repeat! Story of our lives these days... I am traveling a lot more this time of year and have college road trips planned each month through July - fun but exhausting!

Ellie is into using her imagination a lot these days - dress up, tea parties, cooking dinner are all favorites as of now. She also loves to sing - Jay is to thank for this one!

Jay is super busy with work and currently in his busy season with events every.single.weekend. I am thankful that he really enjoys his job and finally has a great team. So proud of the business he has grown from the ground up.

We are so excited for the spring weather and Monday we will be celebrating Mrs. Hazel's 89th birthday.

Dressing up and having fun

We are all about dressing up these days... The weekends are open to Ellie picking out her clothes for herself and sometimes us! I am loving this age because they have such an imagination.

We had a quiet VDay this year. Ellie and Jay had a dinner date to Chick Fil A while I worked. I did have an awesome surprise from Jay - an electric blanket!!! I know, random but I love it. Ellie was also random in what she wanted... A clock for her playroom. I think she saw something about clocks on Curious George and it stuck. She also is sporting a new princess dress and shoes. Love this child!

Fabulous weekend

We are still swimming and were thankful for the heated pool this week. We are ready for spring weather around here :). This weekend we halfway completed Ellie's school Valentines and celebrated with friends for my 32nd! Ready for the busy week ahead.

The end of 2012

Not sure what my problem is with updating this blog... We had a wonderful end to 2012 celebrating Christmas in Springville, Andalusia, and then a quick trip to the beach. We rang in the New Year with the Borders' family and all sound asleep before midnight. I can't believe it's already February 1. I am looking forward to a happy and healthy 2013! The pictures keep loading out of order - I am giving up! Enjoy!
