We had a great, and busy weekend. We headed to Auburn Saturday morning and braved the rain and Auburn game. People were definitely wondering why a preggo lady, and my sister-in-law with a 9-month old were out in the crazy weather. We are definitely true fans, and the game was AUsome! I got a lot of "bless your heart" looks going into the stadium...
Sunday was my Atlanta shower which was so much fun! Thanks to Kelly and Ashley for such a great shower, and everyone who braved the rain. Ellie is definitely one loved little girl. We appreciate all of our gifts so much!
We are almost complete with her nursery... We finally got the hutch in to complete her furniture. My mom spent the night on Sunday to help me get her room organized, and decide what goes where. We have most of it complete... Just waiting on a few final touches! We head to Birmingham this weekend for my Birmingham shower. I am so excited to see everyone, especially a dear childhood friend who lives in CA! I will meet her precious little one for the first time!!!
Ellie's door - this was made by a shower hostess in Auburn - too cute!
How could we forget our first baby! She definitely knows something is up!

My new best friend
AMBIEN! I have a new best friend, and feel so much better after a good nights sleep. My work schedule is crazy right now with many 12 - 15 hour days. I come home each night exhausted, only to roll around all night with hardly any good sleep. A blogging friend had mentioned getting some help from her doctor, and I was hoping my doctor would do the same.
We had our 32 week check-up and I brought the issue up during question time. My doctor said he does not like to prescribe Ambien to his patients, and prefers the natural route of hot tea, and possibly Tylenol PM. I had tried both, and a sleep pillow. I think he could see the tears starting to fill my eyes as I explained how exhausted I was right now. He went ahead and prescribed me 7 Ambiens to take ONLY when I could get 8 - 10 hours of sleep. Last night was a success! I slept from 9:30 p.m. - 7:30 a.m and feel so much better.
Ellie's appointment was good... She is measuring a little ahead and is in the 55th percentile. They estimated her weight right now as 4 lbs 9 oz... that's up from 3 lbs 4 oz 2 weeks ago... They are quick to make sure you know these are estimates and know way to really know how big/small they will be. My doctor this week predicted at least 8 pounds - wow.
We're headed to AU today for the game, and this could possibly be our last trip this season... We have a childbirth class next Saturday and then the next home game is AU/KY October 17th. I will be pushing 37 weeks, and don't know that being in Jordan-Hare that close to due date is smart...
Have a great weekend!

Auburn Shower and Updates
Sorry for the delay in blogging... I am into my busy season for work and am on the road with high schoolers day and night. I am hoping to make it through all my visits and fairs, but it's exhausting! Everyone is so nice on the road to help with carrying my materials, finding me a chair, bringing me water, etc... Thanks for all the help!
It's also football season, so we will be in Auburn most of September for games. These may be the only ones we make it to before Ellie arrives... She'll be making her first AU trip at 2 weeks to the Auburn/Alabama game weekend. Don't worry - she is not going and I am playing it by ear.
We had such a great weekend celebrating Ellie in Auburn with great friends and family. My sweet ADPi friends hosted a couples shower for us and Ellie was excited about her gifts. THANKS SO MUCH! We love you all and can't wait for her to meet you all. She does need some pledge sisters, so hurry up!
I can't believe we are 8 weeks (or less) for meeting our miracle. I keep hearing of people due in March and April and get a little freaked out realizing how close we are to the due date. We still have a lot to do, but know she is on her on timeline. We had a great appointment the week before last. She is 3 1/2 pounds and is measuring ahead of her due date! We go back again this Friday.
Enjoy the pictures!
Precious Cake (and delicious)
Door Decor - now hanging in Ellie's room (thanks Lynlee)
Childhood Friend who is due 2 weeks after me... with her 5th! Doesn't she look great!
Ellie's ADPI aunts (hostesses for the shower)
